Julie and Julia dinner brings Child's French cuisine to Vassar

On September 9th, Vassar Campus Dining held its own Julie and Julia dinner featuring recipes from Mastering the Art of French Cooking, including crepes, classic onion soup, ratatouille and boeuf bourguignon, as well as many more dishes from the great Julia Child.

Diners were encouraged to enter a drawing for several prizes, including a copy of Ms. Child's classic cookbook and a Vassar apron autographed by Meryl Streep, star of Julie and Julia and distinguished Vassar alumna. One diner holding a crepe at the dessert table was overheard saying, "This is the happiest day of my life."
