Local Foods Get a Week-long Spotlight

Local Foods Get a Week-long Spotlight

Beginning Tuesday, November 11th, the University of Rochester hosted a Local Foods Week, drawing over 1,300 students and staff members to educational - and delicious - locally-themed event across campus.

As part of the week-long event, held in three dining locations on campus, Danforth's Local Foods Dinner featured local dishes and five on-campus groups distributed information about sustainability. The week also featured a local harvest lunch and a local food dinner in The Meliora Restaurant. Local products were highlighted and many of our local partners were on hand to distribute information and speak with the students.
